The hotel La Minerva descends towards the sea, adorned by flowering terraces, set in a peaceful valley just a stone's throw away from the bustling Via Camerelle, the principal shopping street in Capri which leads to Tragara and the celebrated beaches situated beneath the Faraglioni Rocks. Recently renovated, the hotel offers a sophisticated combination of Capri's traditional architecture, with majolica floors, decorative ceramics, vaulted ceilings, and graceful archways, and the very latest in modern design. The same view of the sea and the lush island greenery observed through the entry hall windows can be admired from the private balconies which compliment the majority of the hotel's bedrooms and from the principal terrace where, in the warm months, a tasty buffet breakfast is served.
The hotel's 18 rooms only, all recently renovated, are distributed on 5 floors gently sloping toward the sea. The spacious and elegant Superior Rooms have kept the beauty of the old Caprese architecture with their cross vaults and bright ceramic floors. The terraces have a view on the sea and are partially shaded by the typical arches or by pergolas, or by blooming buganvillea plants. The Minerva Hotel has also available the exclusive Deluxe Rooms, which are even more ample and comfortable. Furnished with particular care, these are also fit with a comfortable walk-in wardrobe while both the spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and the more ample terrace face the sea. The Single Rooms and the only double Standard Room have neither a terrace nor a view of the sea.
On the first floor there is a spacious, sea-view terrace where, in fine weather, a delicious buffet breakfast is served. On cooler days, breakfast is served in the charming breakfast room located on the ground floor of the hotel. Breakfast is also served on the quiet terraces of each room, at no additional cost. All of Minerva's Rooms are furnished with private baths, air conditioning, TV with personal SKY satellite decoder, minibar, safety deposit box, heating, hair dryer and telephone with an outside line. Furthermore, most of the terraces are furnished with comfortable sun loungers.
The exclusive deluxe rooms are perfect for the more demanding of clients or for special occasions. They are larger than the standard rooms and have a comfortable walk-in wardrobe which affords minor but extremely handy extra space. Another special feature of these rooms, apart from their beautiful balconies, is their luxurious bathrooms, which are not only fitted with Jacuzzi baths but also face the sea. The bathrooms are further enhanced by magnificent hand-decorated tiles and stylish furnishings and lighting.
